I really enojoy watching the olympics. Swimming, Diving, Gymnastics - its great.
What I don't love is my husband who wants to watch every second. We had to set our Tivo up to record every minute of olympic coverage. 1300 hours in 18 days.
I'd be quite content watching the prime time coverage every night -but no. I get home to a straight solid 8 hours of coverage that must be watched before any of the good prime time stuff is on.
And me knowing about a win before him? Out of the question. I'm not allowed to discuss any news with him until he's caught up.
The best part of the Olympics - I've been dying to get a YMCA membership - and working a EJ, I get a discount since we are a partner. We were driving last night and Jeff said he had been inspired to swim, by Michael Phelps...I couldn't stop laughing. He wanted to join the Y so he could swim every day...and then in turn eat the 15,000 calories that the guy eats a day.
I guess it's a good thing he's inspired by swimming rather than weight lifting or badminton.
