Boxing in the Land.

So, when we moved into our home, we were on the fence about putting up a fence. Hehe. Our neighbors next door have 2 dogs that are consistent yard poopers - in our yard!

Anytime Riley poops in someone's yard, we definitely pick it up. They've even told us it was okay if Riley pooped in their yard and we left it. No thank you! What's that boyscout rule? Leave it cleaner than you left it? No, that's Girl Scouts. Well anyway, tomorrow after a year of debate, we begin the bid process for the fence.

Then we get to deal with the process of getting it approved by the subdivision. And guess who's on the board? Yep, the neighbor. Great. I'm sure this will just work out swimmingly.

Why An Entire Center for Entertainment?

Ever since we moved into the house a year ago, we have been on the look out for a new entertainment center for the living room upstairs. Today, the hunt was on. After doing lots of research online, going to Best Buy, Target, Crate and Barrel, and Circuit City, we came up with a big fat goose egg.

Trying to match existing furniture with something new is extremely difficult. We have the black antique finished furniture from Pottery Barn from a few years ag0 before the black furniture started to catch on. Now, it's everywhere. But buyer beware. Some of the faux-finish looks awful! There is quite the difference between online and in person. We spotted one that we loved at Circuit City - but not the right color. Now we spotted one that is that style with the black finish, and hopefully we'll be able to get it tomorrow.

It gets a bit intense when you start to add the number of component slots, height, width and all the other crap that goes along with it. Don't want sliding doors, must be hinged and opened up.

So tomorrow the quest is still on, we'll see how it goes...
