6 Months

Wow. Have 6 months flown by. About this time 6 months ago, I was driving around in a party bus drinkin' it up. Then I realized I drank too much and my mom had to bustle me and I was swaying back and forth holding on for dear life. I played it cool though.

We're off to dinner tonight to celebrate, only if I can pry the PS3 remote out of Jeff's grimey fingers!

So When Are You Having Kids?

Today, I went to Jeff's cousin, Debra's, bridal shower. She just had a baby, Natalie, and she is gorgeous. I got to visit with Jeff's Mom's side of the family. I was sitting there, minding my own business, and Jeff's Mom who is holding Natalie says to me and Wendy, "I am definitely ready for a few of these, when are you going to have kids?"

Yikes!

I am firm on the belief of the 5 year plan. Get married, wait a while, so we can do everything we want to do. When they get here....not much of doing anything else. I reminded the fam of the 5 year plan, and the fact that I want to wait till I'm 30 to have kids. Now I know 30 is about 3.3 years away...so, I may have to compromise a bit.

I want have a few things done before we even think about having kids:

1) Have the majority of the house things done.
2) Be debt free
3) Have moolah saved
4) Go to Italy. Well, I want to do that...not sure if Jeff will be along for the ride.

AND

5) Get my Lexus RX400h. or whatever model happens to be the hybrid at the time.

I think I'm still way too selfish to have kids, and I think Jeff is too. I kindly remind him daily that when we have kids the PS3 will go away.

So for now, Riley is enough baby for me, and that is just fine with me.
