For the love, I don't know where our society is going. Today I went to the mall to get a wedding gift and a little sneak for me. I'm standing at the customer service counter in the middle of the mall.
A lovely mother with 2 kids are infront of me and are looking to get one of those fun strollers. Well, she didn't have any cash, and I'm assuming went to the atm attached to customer service.
A few minutes later the customer service guy and I hear beeping - and he said to me - someone left their credit card in the machine. No biggie - apparently it happens all the time. I looked over at the mom and she was strapping in the kids, totally off in her own world when all of a sudden 3 teenage girls see the credit card sticking out of the ATM. They take it!!
I stand there just stunned and amazed at what happened, and quickly told customer service guy that someone stole the credit card. He just kept tinkering along at a leisurely pace with me. I watch these girls walk away. About 2 minutes later, when he's done, he then calls Security. I was so disgusted and my heart hurt for this lady.
The right thing to do was to hand the card to the customer service guy -and do you good deed. One of the girls had a look like she was ready to do some serious damage on that card.
I couldn't stop flash forwarding to the scenario that is going to play out later that night. Panic looking through a purse, the frantic call to the Credit Card company.
I guess I'm just amazed at the lack of respect that people have. I had to wait for a few minutes at Macy's about a half our before to get a wedding gift, and people were rude and butting in line and it's' a mess. Society has gone to the shitter. What happened to the love your neighbor, help out a man in need? It's all about Me Me Me now....and It's really upsetting.
I guess everyone needs to be more conscious of everyone around, because I'd really like to think that someone would help me out and turn my credit card in.

Ebay Ebay Ebay!
For many of you my loyal readers, you know that I am a bag gal. I wouldn't spend $100 on a shirt, but I'd drop hundreds on a purse.
Well, I did it again. I had been kicking the idea of a purple bag around. Nothing thrilling. Then I came across The Michael Kors Lattington Satchel in Purple. Be still my heart. Looking at the price tag, I blew the idea off and moved on.
Jeff and I then went to Florida and went to the Micheal Kors Store!!! My bag wasn't there, but they had other options in my price range.
Then Friday, Coach came out with their new like Madison. What did they have? A purple bag. Mel and I went to the mall on Friday to take a peek at it. I loved it - but for the money, WAY too small.
So I opted to stop into Nordstrom for a peeksie poo. I didn't see my bag, so I asked the ever so helpful girls in the handbag department if they had any left. I told her I had seen the bag everywhere, just not the color. At that point, the only place I could get this bag was Eluxury.
She did a quick look and found out there were 3 left in the entire company. O M G. Quickly, she called a store and the girl on the other end said it had just gotten returned and was in mint condition.
How could I pass this up?? I didn't, I caved and ordered my bag. I kept quiet about it for almost 2 days. Everything was peachy until I turned on an episode of Oprah and it had Suze Orman on it. Jeff was watching too. Crap-ola. So then we started dicussing finances - go bueno. Then he asked me if I had gotten a bag. I didn't say anything, but he could tell.
After 2 days before he had told me not to get a bag and I did it anyway - he was a little fired up.
So, needless to say, I spent my day taking pictures, doing write-ups and getting everything set up so I can get back on the ebay train again. I posted 22 auctions today in hopes to cover the cost of my bag and then some.
That was my day. In trying to find a picture to post of my bag, I found out that Eluxury has sold out of the bag now, and even the Michael Kors website - awesome!!!
Worst case, since I haven't seen it in person yet, I can sell it on ebay for some serious profit.
Have a wonderful week!
