So Friday, I turned the big 27. Eek. I've been told 27 is a pretty good year - we'll see what happens. My Dad called me on my birthday and told me that when he was 27, I was 6! can you believe that! Wow. I could not imagine a 6 year old running around.
Jeff wanted to take me out to a nice dinner, and I kept procrastinating on where I wanted to go. Friday, I just wasn't feeling like celebrating my birthday, so I opted to go to my favorite place, Cracker Barrel, with the intent of going to my nice birthday next week. So the plan is to go to Citizen Kanes in Kirkwood on Tuesday. That will be nice, I'll be off from work for 5 days and I can be rested and relaxed.
My wonderful husband took time and effort into planning my birthday gift, and I ruined the surprise. While, it was thoughful and creative, it wasn't something I could see myself using. He got me a binding kit to make photo albums - kind of like what you could make a shutteryfly.com.
I'd prefer for someone to do all them messy work for me.
So he comes home last night after finishing up Christmas shopping with birthday gift #2. He got me $100 gift card to Coach - with strings attached. I have to stick the gift card on the fridge next to my Jenny Craig Menu. Once I hit my goal weight of 150, then he will take the giftcard and get me any purse that I want. On top of my Tiffany's necklace that he already promised. I think it's a good motivator. Good thing, I'm not head over heels in love with any bags right now.
Being the smarty pants that I am - I asked him if I could get the $1,000 bag that they often have out - something with ostrich - he said "If you think that's what you need." Ha. Awesome.
So there we have it - I am 27 - nothing crazy exciting...just another year of getting older.
Thanks to everyone who emailed/called/facebooked/sent cards for my birthday - I loved reading everyone!
