Review - California Ranch Olive Oil

Ever since I was on college, I would sit and stare at The Food Network religously and watch Rachael Ray with her EVOO. I had no idea what I was learning, heck, I didn't even have a kitchen! Once, I finally got my own place, the first place I went to at the Grocery Store was the Olive Oil section. At that point, I went a little crazy in learning all about olive oil and what to cook with, and what not to fry with. I feel as if I've become quite the EVOO expert.

I was so excited when MomSelect provided me with a Holiday Product Pak which included an Olive Oil from California Olive Ranch. Hurray! Something new to try! It worked out because that it week, I was on a roasting extravaganza! I decided to try out on my favorite - roasted potatoes, carrots and onions.  With simple ingredients, kosher salt, fresh cracked pepper and the Calforinia Olive Ranch EVOO, I was set! Roasted for about 40 minutes and had beautiful roasted veggies. The taste? Fantastic! There was a distictive bite and nutty taste to the olive oil and between the roasting and oil - it gave fantastic crunch. It wasn't too heavy, and I didn't need to use a whole lot to coat all of the veggies.
