I Heart Saturday.

I love Saturday. It was rather busy, but still I love Saturdays. I woke up around 7:30, played around in the interwebs and then headed out at 8:30 to take Riley to the Yuppy Puppy Pet Spa.  Then, in between I went and got an oil change. After the fact, my lovely husband told me I got scammed out of $11.99 for something they dumped into my car. Those guys are always so scammy.

Then, I headed off to meet Phyllis at Jenny. She gave me the biggest hug ever. I love her.  I'm ready to lose the last bit o'weight to be at "Optimum Baby Making" weight. Ha -That sounds funny. The good thing was I only gained 2lbs in the past 2 months while I was away which I was VERY happy with. Even with my hefty Starbucks addiction.

After that, I got home and Jeff some how got it in his head he needed the new HTC Evo pronto. The phone just came out yesterday and he needed it immediately. Before we headed out I trimmed up my hydrengas and the Japanese Maples in the front yard and off we went to Sprint. After waiting for 45 minutes ( Yes 45!) Jeff got the 2nd to last phone. Then we came home and have been chillin' out since.

I took a few photos of my handy work with my new camera.

My hydrangeas. Jeff won't let me cut them this year since I brought tons of bugs in last year. Boo!

Up close - the guys are HUGE!

My Pink Hydrangea that Miss Riley got me for Mother's Day. I can't seem to keep this one alive GRRR!

My little lady after Yuppy Puppy enjoying the cool breeze in the grass.

She was mad at me and did not want to participate. And that scarf is awful! It's coming off ASAP!

Happy Saturday!

My Big Blonde Moment of the Day.

So, last night Jeff went to the ball game with Ryan and so I sat home and watched So You Think You Can Dance and made nachos. Typically in the summer we watch America's Got Talent, but I waited to watch the show today.

If you are the STL area, you recall the bad storm that zipped up 44 last night.

So not even thinking, Jeff turned on AGT after dinner today and I said "Oooh, another storm JUST like the one last night!"

Super blonde moment.

What's your biggest blonde moment?

5 Points of Awesomeness!

So, this weekend, I drank a lot of soda and margaritas.....mmmm Margaritas. Flash forward to Monday morning when I got on the scale and WOAH I realized I ate a lot of crap this weekend. But you have to do that sometimes, right? Well, I've got these last 30 lbs to lose and I'm doing it in 2010.  The past 2 months I have been so stressed with work and I've been drinking Mountain Dew like it's going out of style.  Okay - completely disconnected from my original post - but here we go!

So here are my 5 Points of Awesomeness:

1) I called Phyllis today - I go back to Jenny starting on Saturday.

2) I got an email and I won a Near East Party! To be honest, I don't remember signing up for this one and it's not from my typical party sites.Couscous anyone? I'd love to meet some of my new STL blogger friends!

3) I got a new camera last yesterday. Woop! It's got an LCD screen on the front. Now I can take all the self photos I can muster!

4) Pointfest is on Sunday. Yes, I'm 28 and yes, I go to Pointfest. Believe me, I stick out like a sore thumb!

5) It's Super Nacho Night! Nuff said!

Review - Freschetta Flatbread Pizza

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Freschetta. All opinions are 100% mine.

I love pizza. What I love even more is frozen pizza. 1) because it's quick and easy and 2) because it's so much less expensive than ordering and have it delivered! I had the opportunity to try Freschetta FlatBread Pizza this week, and let me tell you - it was yummy!

So, for dinner the other night, we decided to try the pepperoni flatbread pizza. I also whipped up a salad because the rule at Casa De Cowan is - Freezer Pizza + Salad = Happy Cowan's! While I worked on the salad, Jeff got the pizza together. Just a short time later we were sitting down to dinner.

Living in St. Louis most of my life - I'm a big fan of thin crust pizza. It's kind of a St. Louis thing. The oven was able to toast up the crust for a good crunch but still have the toppings that are ooey and gooey. There was just enough sauce and cheese and we just added a little extra grated parm and crushed red pepper flakes.  All around a great pizza. Jeff also found that pizza tasted good dipped in ranch.

Overall, a very quick and affordable dinner for the Casa De Cowan. It was just enough to make everyone happy, but inexpensive enough to do it again. We saved over $25 on pizza and probably saved a few calories too!

Love Love Love!

So, how do you like the new look of the blog? I love it! I don't think the clipart looks anything like me and Jeff, but one can dream!

I had the opportunity this weekend to go to The Lake of the Ozarks for the first time. I got a new Coach, some Nautica Polos for Jeff, rode a jet ski for the first time, and had an all around good time with some of my favorite peeps.

Today, I'm going to try to drag Jeff to go strawberry picking today, go to Kohl's to look at a Vera Wang comforter I saw in the paper and go to the grocery store.

How are you celebrating your Memorial Day?
