foursquare + Jen + Starbucks = Obsession!!!

I have 2 problems. #1 - I'm addicted to Foursquare and #2 - I NEED to be the Mayor of Starbucks!

If you aren't familiar with Foursquare, it is a GPS App on your phone that you go to to places, you "check-in". If you are the one who has checked in the most - you're the Mayor! Simple enough.

Now, I want to become the Mayor of Starbucks on at Highway K and Technology. Officially, I have gone to Starbucks 26 times in the past 3 months and I still haven't been there the most! There is Sommer who has been there 29 times since I last checked. I will beat her if it kills me! I'm even tempted to go multiple times a day!

Now, you're thinking why the heck does it matter? For me it's become a competition thing. I love it! I'm the Mayor of Quiktrip at Kisker, Mobil on the Run on K, Victoria Secret at the Meadows. I'm the mayor 8 places - Including the Casa De Cowan!  It's so fun!

Now, depending on how often and when you get in, you get badges. For Starbucks- if you check into 5 seperate Starbucks - you'll get the Barista badge above. You'll also get $1 off Frappucinos which I don't drink. So far, I've got 8 badges for lots of random things. There is even an I'm on a Boat badge for being on a boat!

So the 2nd part of my lovely story is that because I have frequent Starbucks so much, I have become a regular. I pulled up to the drive-thru and the guy on the other end knew what I wanted! Iced Venti Black Iced tea with 3 raw sugars. I have arrived. I'm a regular at Starbucks!

Does anyone else foursquare?

Happy Father's Day!

I'm sure everyone think's their dad is daaaaaa-bomb. But let me tell you how awesome my Dad is. Back when I was a freshman in high school, my dad was diagnosed with ALS - Lou Gehrig's Disease. He was given an estimated life expectancy of 2 years. 2 YEARS! That meant no graduation, no college, no wedding no babies no nothing.

Well, he has beaten the odds and is still with us today. Almost 15 years later, he is still kickin' ass and taking names and living with ALS. Most people don't live this long and he's really done it with a positive attitude and lots of love surrounding him. I am so grateful to have the opportunities that I've had with him.

Sadly, he he doesn't live close, but it does give me an excuse to go to Florida about 4 times a year. So Happy Father's Day to all the Father's out there. Including my Stepdad Steve, my Father-in-Law John, and Step Father-in-Law Bob!

You are all so special and I'm blessed to have you in my life!

This one of my favorite photos of us, we couldn't stop laughing about some handicap joke. And we can do that since we're handicapped.

"Wheeling" Me down the aisle. Not a dry eye in the room it was one of the best days of my life. I was doing okay until my dad put on his ugly cry and the place went nuts.

At the reception, he couldn't stay in the tux so he swapped into something snazzy.

This was my last trip down to visit in September when we went on our cruise.

I Need Help Decoding this Email...

So, as ya'll know, back in like February, I submitted a video to be in the Marie Claire Style Council. I had a heck of a time uploading and kind of assumed it never got to them. I even uploaded it to YouTube and sent a personal email. But Friday when I was home sick with the dreaded hour flu-nastiness, I get this email with the subject: Wishing Our Style Council A Happy Summer!  Hmm. Cryptic.  I continued to read:
Thank you for your continued interest in the Marie Claire Style Council! We are beyond excited to launch this program and have you out and about representing Marie Claire: trying the latest products, attending special events, and telling all of your friends what they must try next.

The Style Council is almost ready to rock and roll. Until then, please stay tuned to your in-box...and your mailbox. Reply to this email with your most up to date mailing address and we'll send you a Marie Claire notebook to jot down all of your stylish inspirations.
Stylishly Yours,
Grady, Marketing Director for Marie Claire.

Oh Snap! So, someone please help me understand this. Does it mean that I made it in? It's like "Thanks for being interested" But is the notebook a thanks for jumping through every damned hoop we gave you?

Ahh, help!
