Calling All St. Louis Bloggers Who are REALLY into Halloween!

So, I goofed. My eyes, got bigger than my stomach and I had entered to with a contest where Snickers would sponsor my Halloween. I giggled and said, no way I'd win. Well crap, I won. I have 29 bags of new Snickers that haven't been released to the market and I'm supposed to have the front of my house DECKED out in Halloween gear. They sent me a strobe light, fog machine, crime scene tape - the works. That'd be awesome, but we'll be in Florida.

So, with that being said, is there anyone out there in the Lou who loves to decorate for Halloween? If so, I will be happy to give you all the candy you need to make your Halloween night come true. The only thing I need is a few photos of your front yard, and a few photos the night of Halloween. I'll give you all the spooky necessities too. I've got a sign that would need to go into your front yard for the initial photos, but that's it.

If you're interested please let me know ASAP. I'll even help you decorate.

And did I mention they are Peanut Butter Snickers??

My Goal for the Week

Did you know Americans now watch an average of 4 hours 35 minutes of TV every day? This is up three minutes from last year. Furthermore, a TV is playing in the average American household for 8 hours and 14 minutes every day. Holy Cow!

This week, I am watching 1 hour of TV a day. Sometimes I get home, turn the TV on and it's on till I go to bed. Unacceptable! So, I'll need to chose accordingly. With there so many other things I can do, it's just too silly to sit and do nothing.

I keep telling Jeff that once we have kids, probably not going to have much time for TV. This year I've limited new shows that I'm watching and when one show ended, I didn't pick up another.

It's amazing how attached to technology people are. I'm trying to step back from tech scene. Yes, I've got 2 blogs, and twitter and Facebook, but there is a level of how much time you spend on it.

I'm going back to the basics and cutting back and focusing on what's most important. Face to face relationships and fostering those great relationships and growing them. So rather than an IM conversation, might as well go for a cup of a coffee. In the long run, you'll be healthier and a better person for it.

I say, let's set up more dinners and social meetings and just hanging out, like we used to back last century. :o)

Who's with me?

Review - KT Tunstall Album

I love new music, I had the opportunity to review the KT Tunstall's new album Tiger Suit. You may remember her from "Suddenly I See" and "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree". I don't typically buy CD's only because we've got the new fangled internet and I just songs here and there. Over the past week, I've had this album in my CD player in my car and I have to say, I'm really impressed. I'm a big fan of Imogen Heap and I could was able to pull some of those vibes from these songs. My favorite song is "Fade Like a Shadow" which happens to be her first single off the album. Overall, as I said, very impressed. It was a nice to listen to on the ride home from work just to decompress from the day.

Want to check out the album for yourself, you can listen online or check her out on You Tube.

KT is also out on tour this fall, sadly not coming to St. Louis, but if you're close, check it out!

Giveaway Pillsbury Prize Pack!

Ah, Pillsbury Biscuits. They are delicious. If they are frozen, or in the tube that you remember as a kid, they are fantastic. It's great when you can take a frozen item and then use them for something other than just a tasty biscuit.

That's exactly what Pillsbury would like you to do! I had the opportunity to try out the Pillsbury Grands Mini Biscuit and reinvent them. I felt like the Iron Chef! Well, instead of making my usual chicken & dumplings and making the topping from scratch, I replaced my topping with frozen biscuits. Deeelish. With only 70 calories a biscuit, you're not going to break the bank on the calories.

Want to Re-Invent one of your favorite dishes? Pillsbury wants to help!

Even better, is we've got a $1 off coupon to try your own favorite reinvention with Pillsbury Grand Mini Biscuits.

Cash Cowan and Pillsbury has teamed up to offer a Pillsbury® Grands!® Mini Biscuits prize pack which includes a VIP coupon good for a free package of biscuits, a $15 gift card to purchase your recipe creation/experimentation needs, a biscuit basket, a butter dish and spreader.

Pillsbury provided me with the information and prize packs through MyBlogSpark. I was given a prize pack, however, this did not alter my personal views on Pillsbury.

Sunday Song!

It's another week of Sunday Song! Who's excited? Well this one is not one of my usual favorite bands, but their new album is insane. The band - Linkin Park. The Song - Waiting for the End.

I think the reason I got so turned off by Linkin Park was Transformers. Yes, Transformers is an amazing movie, but the theme song was what did me in. It's not their fault. I blame my husband.

Ever since he got his man cave 2 years ago, and his surround sound system, he would "demo" his set up and always play that song. Drove me nuts.

This is their latest song Waiting for the End. It's quite fabulous. If you like Linkin Park and Jay-Z then you'd love their mash up album from a few years a back. It's incredible.  99 Problems & Point of Authority

Check it out.
