Super Saturday! - Pappy's & SLU Basketball

Last Saturday, Melissa finally convinced me to attend my first SLU Basketball game. I'm not the biggest fan of basketball, so I never went when I was in school. So 6 years later, Melissa still plays in the pep band and gets free tickets, so I said sure, why the heck not. And there was Pappy's involved. I can't turn down Pappy's!

We sat behind the band. They stand up the entire time. Who knew that college basketball only lasted 40 minutes?? 

The band was really good. They everything from Proud Mary to Poker Face. Yes - Poker Face!! 

The cheerleaders looked like they were 15. It's official - I'm getting old.

Fall Photo Shoot!

So, we're finally here! Hurray! My sister in law, Jenna, hooked us up with a fantastic photo session. We took them a couple of weekends ago at Quail Ridge Park which is way out in Lake St. Louis. Riley Sue was not wanting to cooperate in the end. Here are some of my favorite photos. You should be able to click on them and blow them up larger. Looooove! Christmas Cards are ordered!!

This was my favorite for the Christmas Card, but Jeff didn't think Riley looking like a Rattle Snake was a good idea. 

Review - ...Featuring Nora Jones Album Review

I absolutely love doing music reviews because it really opens you up to all kinds of new music. The new Norah Jones album - really does that. Every song is another band or artist Featuring Nora Jones. I've been listening to this CD around town for the past 3 weeks and I am in love! 

There are 2 songs in particular that are my favorite. The first one is Baby it's Cold Outside - by Willie Nelson featuring Nora Jones. I think this one really gets me in the holiday spirit, even though I have been lacking some this holiday season. The other song I love is Creepin' In with Nora Jones featuring Dolly Parton. For someone who doesn't like country, I sure do love Dolly Parton. Don't ask, I just do! The combo of the soft tones of Nora and that Dolly sound really compliment each other!
