The Real Meaning of Christmas

I guess for the last few years, I've been a Scrooge. I've had no interest in celebrating Christmas at all. They say when you have kids it all changes and the magic of Christmas comes back. But until then, it's important to look at the real meaning of Christmas. Not presents, not spending hours at the mall.

Last year our church participated in the Advent Conspiracy, and it really makes you take a step back. I'd much rather build relationships and serve others rather than get a sweater or something you don't NEED, right?  Let's take Christmas back to the basics. Woop!

I've done this for about three years and have given to the needy. It has been the best Christmas's I've had. To see children who wouldn't have gotten anything at all, have Christmas is a joyful thing. I will also this year give to a project like the one you suggest. If everyone gives a little, a lot can be accomplished.
