New Decorated Tanks Compliments of Old Navy & Crowdtap

Recently, I was asked to do a See and Share as part of the Old Navy Style Council through Crowdtap. Basically, they gave me 4 coupons to share with my friends and we all got to try out their decorated tanks out.  I gave Alyssa, Melissa and my cousin Marcy all coupons. Today, Marcy and I went to the Farmer's Market and had a little girl time and went shopping and decided to document our morning.  Please disregard our lack of hair and makeup, and this was a last minute kind of a thing.

We picked a few tops and went to down. Here's what we checked out.

Marcy #1 Frosty Peach - Winner!!

I really liked this top. It looks a lot more expensive than Old Navy.

Marcy #2 Palomino

Jen - Frosty Peach

Jen - #2 - Pink

#3 - Cinnamon Cider - WINNER!

Marcy liked this one the best out of the 3 I chose. I really this it will be a nice transition color into fall. The photo looks weird with the sequin and what not because the shirt was folded and the material was a little folded. Should come out nice and straight in the wash.

You can check out all the colors online or in your local Old Navy near you.

Just a quick observation with this style of shirt - SIZE DOWN. In most situations with Old Navy, I tend to size down, which REALLY like. In Marcy's case, she could have used an XXS, but had to go with the XS since I don't think they make smaller than that. The straps are a little long, so you may need a sweater or maybe even another tank if you are wanting a more modest look.  Overall, the material is great, the styles are hip and with it, and I really enjoyed checking out the items.

Crowdtap and Old Navy Style council provided me and 3 friends coupons to review their tanks. All of the opinions in this post are mine, and are no way influenced by Old Navy or Crowdtap.

Bedroom Makeover - The Before

So, I've posted snip-its on Twitter about our bedroom and the remodel. I've even did a quick blog about the demo that hubs did in the bedroom. We had a pocket door, and we needed to create a door with an entry way so that we could have locking door for when we have kiddos. Apparently, hubs likes his privacy.

Before I post the after photos. Well, meaning, before I go make my bed so I can take photos, I wanted to show you the before. Now, originally, this room has never been painted other than the cream color that was there when they house was built. There was a lovely border with tassels, yes, tassels that had to come down.

Here are a few shots. This one is looking into the bedroom. Please ignore the messiness. My definition of cleaning is putting everything in a laundry basket for as long as I possibly can.  And yes, that is Riley on the bed. Not that you can tell she looks like a piled up shirt, but that's my baby girl.

From the door of the bathroom. Notice in the right corner you can see the new door that was put in place.

The hope was to put a sitting area in the corner. And I can say we have success with that!

Okay, stay tuned! The After Coming tomorrow!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July everyone! Sunday night we celebrate our annual 4th of July party with quite the guest list! Since we live in unincorporated St. Charles County, we are one of the very few that can shoot off fireworks legally. We had quite fireworks show and had a great time with great friends. Here are a few photos that captured our evening.

If I had to describe my husband in a nutshell, this would be him.

Pretty!

Cece & Alyssa

Melissa & Michael

Ryan, Joey, Matt, Jeff & Danny

Me, Julie & Alyssa. I bought a new dress for the party, and I loved it! At first I was iffy, but now I love it. Thank God for Tide sticks because I kept pouring stuff all over the place. AND so much for flat ironing my hair, the humidity made it curly and a mess!!

Elena, Chelsea, Melissa & Me

Jenn & Little D. He was so good!

Julie & Keith

Jenn, Cece, Alyssa & Me before the fireworks

Me & Jeff. I begged him to wear something different. I told him he looked like a slumpadink.

Yes, that's a technical term.
