Lilly Pulitzer Online Summer Sale Loot!

Confession: I have a Lilly Pulitzer problem. It started about a year ago, when I realized that I could afford sale Lilly items. Sweet. I also found an amazing site on Facebook called ReLilly. It's a place where you can buy/sell/swap Lilly with other Lilly Lovers. Since I have been following the site, they keep everyone up to date on sales. LillyPulitzer.com had a big summer sale last year, and this year they didn't disappoint. They recently redid their website, so accessing everything was very user friendly. They had great items from spring, summer and even older items. I was able to find one of my holy grail dresses at a fraction of the cost!

I had to restrain myself with all the great deals, but I narrowed it down to 4 pieces that I couldn't walk way from.

First up the Katia Wrap. This is a seasonal classic. It's a slub cotton, so it's perfect for tossing on over jeans a and a tank or a light summer dress. They also have it in the spring patterns as well.

Holy Grail Dress - the Abella! If you looked at my laptop, this print has been my background for almost 8 months. I don't keep a background image that long. I have been in love with this dress since the day I saw it, but at the hefty price tag of over $348, that was well outside my budget. I just checked and it sold out again. Holy cow! I have a big Gala to go to in October, so this will be perfect!

Next Up - Dominique Caftan Shirting. I saw this a while back, and thought it would be the perfect beach or boat cover-up. It covered your back for when the sun is too hot, but long enough you don't need to wear pants.  Retails $98 - I got it at Pink Pelican for $39

Finally - the Jillie. I didn't think anything of it, until someone on ReLilly said it was $39. Um, deal when it was originally $328! I snagged it up on black. I thought it looked a little maternityish - which is okay for next year!

So there is my loot. The sale runs through the 25th. I would highly encourage you to check out the sale. Lots of deals and goodies! Also be sure to check out the local Lilly stores online, they are also running great deals too!

Tell me what, did you pick up at the Lilly Summer Sale?

Old Navy Style Council - See & Share - Jeans!

I was absolutely thrilled when Crowdtap contacted me to participate in the Free Jeans review from Old Navy! I was super excited because 75% of the jeans in my closet are Old Navy, AND I was just thinking I needed to check out a new pair for fall. Crowdtap sent a coupon for me, and a coupon for someone else. Sweet! So, I called my Mom and asked her if she would like some jeans. She said sure. I told her the catch would be, she had to try on a few styles and let me take her photo. She said no to that, but I let her have the jeans anyway.

So, the thing with Old Navy is I am in between a petite length, short length and regular length. It really just depends on what kind of shoes I am looking to wear with these jeans. I decided for fall, I needed a longer pair to go with heels, boots and other things like that. I am a big fan of Trouser Jeans, but they aren't a fan of me. But, I still try them on EVERY TIME. I just need to quit it.

So, I tried on 3 pairs:

First up, you guessed it, Trouser Jeans! Obviously, not looking so fabulous. But I really liked the color. I think the thing about the trouser jean is they can look really classy. For me, sadly, not so much.

Option #2 - More Trouser Jeans. I need to quit it. I liked these because of the braided pockets. I like just subtle detail. I've never been one about all the prints or pockets on the butt. These were better, but again, it was the length. Usually, I like the jeans that don't come in short, or I have to order the petite online.

Ahh, last one. #3 The Skinny Mini Flare. I just got excited because of the name. I put these on and the denim was so light weight, stretchy and comfortable. Just fantastic.

So can you guess the winner?

Yep! The Skinny Mini Flare!

Right now Old Navy is having a sale on jeans for back to school.  The Skinny Mini's are only $19.50!

My mom ended up going with The Dreamer Bootcut jeans, which are pretty hip and with it for my Mom.

So what Old Navy Jeans are your favorite?

Crowdtap and Old Navy Style Council provided me with a coupon for these jeans, but in no way did that alter my opinion of the product.
