A Little Fall Shopping at The Limited!

When I was in high school, The Limited used to send out these ridiculously amazing coupons that they were practically giving the store away. Then, my guess is that they figured out they were giving it away and they took the coupons away. Recently, they just started doing similar coupons that start at $15 off a purchase and then go all the way up to $50 off $150. So, either way, a good deal.

I'm a big online shopper, but my eye caught a particlar top, but they were sold out online. Good thing because when I went on Saturday, they had buy one get one free tops and you could use coupons. Deal! So I was able to snag these 2 super cute tops for $23!

The first one is the cheetah top. How cute is this? This was the one I saw online and I had to have. Then the next day, my work buddy Sara had the same top on. I told her to watch out because I was getting it too. It is going to be so cute with a black blazer over the top!

The next one was this ruffle line top. It's just a basic and it had this interesting stretchy material. I'd be perfect when you are having a fat day. Yea, you know you have those too. I'm a big fan of cardigans so, I though this would be super cute layered with a pencil skirt and boots for fall.

I'm so ready for fall weather. If you don't get limited coupons, I would check out their website and see if you can get on their mailing list.

So, what pieces are you looking forward to for fall? I'm ready for the switch!

SheSpeaksbutton

Oh, I'm so excited to share with you a great opportunity with SheSpeaks and, Bobby Flay....yes, Bobby Flay. *swooooon*

SheSpeaks has teamed up with the Aetna Healthy Food Fight to help spread the message of healthy living and eating in America.

Sounds pretty cool, right?

The program will host events in 4 cities this fall: Panoma, CA, Dallas, Atlanta and New Hope, PA at Peddler’s Village.

To qualify, entrants must first enter their unique AND healthy creation on the Aetna’s Healthy Food Fight webpage, where it will be analyzed to insure it meets the healthy-status requirements.
From there, it will will be a vote-off and up to 48 recipes will compete in live cook-offs. The semi-finalists will compete  in front of a representative from The Culinary Institute of America® and local VIP judges.

Finally, the winner from each region will compete in New York on December 2, before Bobby Flay and other VIP judges, for a grand prize of $10,000 worth of groceries donated by recipes.com.

So, there are the details, how easy is that? So be sure to head over and sign up and enter your healthy food fight entry!

Note: I was compensated f for this post by SheSpeaks and Aetna, but all opinions are my own

A Glorious Day at Noboleis Vineyards

On Sunday is was absolutely gorgeous outside.  Did you get a chance to enjoy the weather? Well, I took full advantage of it. I ended up making a ladies afternoon at Noboleis Vineyards out in Augusta, MO. I'd never been there but Melissa and Marcy has been. So, we loaded up the car and headed the half hour out into wine country.

We get out there and it's not busy at all. It was nothing but clear blue sky and fantastic. They had a free wine tasting, so we got to try a few of their options. I opted for their Reserve Sparkling White. It was fantastic. I'm a sucker for any wine with bubbles though.

Isn't it gorgeous?

We even got to go on a hayride through the vineyard. We got the history of the grapes, the types of grapes, and learned that this year they had a serious problem keeping wild turkeys away from eating their grapes. Who knew turkeys liked grapes?

Me & Marcy on the hayride

This was the picker. It was some hefty machinery.

So, the  verdict? It's gorgeous. It would be the perfect fall wedding venue. Between the crazy magician, the crooner singing Elvis songs and the wine, I'd say it'd be a great place to go again.

According to Subway, I've got Klout!

As you know, I'm quite the twitter-er, and I recently heard about Klout. What's Klout, well it's basically your presence and how influential you are in the social media world. So, I joined and didn't think anything would come of it, until I started receiving Klout Perks. Basically, they are interested in your opinion and would like your thoughts on their product. I don't mind that!

So enter, Subway and their Perk. I was sent a $10 gift card to try out their new Oven Crisp Chicken Sandwich. Easy enough. I also lucked out because the paper that week had a 6 inch sub, chips and a drink for $5. Even better! Way to stretch my buck!

So, I figured while I was working from home one day, I'd stop in and pick up a little lunch. The verdict? I really liked it. With it being oven crispy, it wasn't greasy, and it wasn't icky to look at. Sometimes I look at the oven roasted chicken, and the look of it kinda grosses me out. Anyone else feel like that?

I loaded up my typical veggies and honey mustard and I was very pleased with the outcome. Unfortunately, I think the oven crisp was a limited time only, but I bet that they will be putting it on the menu again sometime soon. I bet that it would be really tasty as a chicken parmigiana option ( Subway are you listening?!)

So there you have it, another tasty lunch option for me. I don't know about the calories, but I'd definitely give it a whirl again. As I mentioned, I was given a $10 gift card from Klout and Subway, however the opinions are completely my own. In no way did the gift card influence my decision.

Oh, and if you're interested in signing up for Klout, it's free and they don't email you a bunch of stuff, which is always good in my book!
