Let's Review Compression Pants from Old Navy!

As apart of the Old Navy Style Council, I have the opportunity to try to and exciting products that are new to the market. Most recently, I was contacted to try out the Women's Compression Pant and any GoDry Top! I'll take that! I learned about compression pants earlier in the year when I was training for my half marathon.

I called up my gal pal Julie, and we headed out to try on the new Active Collection.

Julie tried the tank and pants

Julie ended up going with the track jacket and capris

I ended up going with this super cute light weight hoodie and compression pants

If you're interested in being apart of the Old Navy Style Council, check out Crowdtap. They offer all kinds of fun opportunities. Overall, really happy with the Active collection. I'm excited to try the pants out with a little running. They would also be great for yoga or even Zumba!

Crowdtap and Old Navy provided me the free coupon for active wear. All opinions on the product are my own.

Shecky's Girls Night Out

For 3 years, I have been begging anyone who would listen to go to the Shecky's Girls Night Out event that happens every year. This year, I just decided I was going to go and check it out. They were running some great deals with the local daily deal websites, so for $10 (Usually $30!), I was able to have a girls night out with my cousin Marcy, and my lovely Junior League buddy Merri. We figured, for $10, it was worth cocktails and a free goodie bag. Overall, I'd say it was definitely worth it.

From what we could tell, a lot of great brands got together and thought it would be a good way to let people try products, give away some product and get the word out on new things. The photos are from their professionals from their website.

So, we go to walk the "Red Carpet". I know, so fancy.

Since we got there early, L'Oreal was doing free hair poofings and stylings. Marcy got some super poof, and the gal poofed mine, but I already poof it. So, not as dramatic as Marcy's.

Merri met up with a little bit later and we tried some of the new Anheuser-Busch products that were out. I'll say the Bacardi Sangria is pretty good. Not something I'd drink all the time. the Mic Ultra Pomegranate wasn't so fabulous. I couldn't even drink it.

So if you do the math - 2 Cocktails, and a goodie bag, I'd say that is about $10. The goodie bag was loaded with some great products from The Body Shop, a Venus Razor ( depending where you buy razors, that almost covered the cost of the ticket!), Aveeno samples, Goody Hair ties, and more. The bag was jam packed.  Overall, it was a good time. The girls and I ended up grabbing a little Mexican dinner next door.

Overall, fun evening. Since this is an annual event, I don't think I would go out of my way to go, but it was fun to try some new things and people watch. Always a good time when people watching!

Simplifying Life in 1 Step with Scrubbing Bubbles

Okay, I admit it. I hate cleaning. Just hate it. I've been begging my dear husband to get a cleaning lady for years. He says when he got married almost 4 year ago he got a cleaning lady. I beg to differ.

When I was contacted to try out the Scrubbing Bubbles One Step Toilet Bowl Cleaner, I thought this MAY just be the answer to my prayers with cleaning. These guys did do the automatic shower cleaner, right?

So, let's check it out. Oh, and don't look at my empty toilet paper roll. Totally wasn't me!

So, we've got easy assembly. Basically, it's a canister, attached to a tube that is attached to your potty. Then you do your business, and then step on the pedal to spray the cleaner. Sounds easy enough. It was so easy, I put it in the bathroom, and told hubs to start using it. He forgets from time to time, but I can tell he is using it. I hope that it just becomes one of those habit forming action items. We'll see. It does take a few weeks to create a habit forming activity.

So, best part is Scrubbing Bubbles wants you to participate in the One Step Dance Off! I had high hopes of creating a pretty awesome dance video. I even had a song picked out. Contest runs through the 27th. So, upload your video of your One Step Dance moves!

With full disclosure, I was given a Scrubbing Bubbles One Step Toilet Cleaner to try and review. All opinions are my own and are no way influenced by the manufacturer.

Taking a Little Me Time With Cerra.com

SheSpeaksbutton

So the past few months have been a little turbulent. Nothing that I can't handle, but it has really stressed me out.  So with the foot last week, I've definitely needed a little me time. As apart of the SheSpeaks Blogger Society, I was invited participate in the Cerra Be Aware, Act, Reflect™ Program. It's an opportunity to take a moment out of your day and reflect on how you are feeling through journaling, taking some personal time and just taking a little time out of the day for some me time. I think we can all use a little me time, wouldn't you agree?

As part of the Program, I was sent a few extra goodies to relax and reflect. One I item I really enjoyed was the Dissolving Notes and Pen. I was able to write down my gratitude and then watch them dissolve in water. It was night to just wash away those concerns and relax a little.

Instant vanish.

Creative Energy Sensory Oil Kit.
So many options and the scents are incredible. The other scents in the kit include Grounded, Gratitude, Loving Kindness, Courage, Wisdom, Inspiration.

Be sure to check out Cerra. They will send you a little goodie bag too for signing up!

Just a little delayed...

So, I told ya'll I would be posting more, well 2 weeks ago, I kind of had a bit of a hiccup in my plans. On the 4th, I was headed into the office and when I got into my car in the in my garage and realized I forgot my phone. So, I quickly ran inside and on my way out of the garage I fell down the 1 stair in my garage. Yes, 1 stair.

Princess Clutzy Pants is more like it. Well, after some X-rays, blood work and a trip to the Orthopedic Foot Specialist, I was gifted with this.

A beautiful boot. Pretty fashion forward, eh? Well, I get to wear this pretty lady for 2 weeks, which is definitely cramping my social schedule in the next 2 weeks. I go back on Halloween for a checkup. The girls in the office said I am supposed to dress up when I come back. I said I'd dress up as a non-gimpy girl.

I ended up being diagnosed with a high severe sprain. It looks like I have a second ankle bone on the top of my foot. It's pretty funky looking. I've heard opposing sides saying a break would have been better over a sprain, but luckily I can walk.
