The first day I started my new job, they asked me if I would go to Vegas 3 weeks later. I was super excited because 1) I had never been to Vegas and 2) it was the NACE conference. I was bummed that I was going by myself, but I made the most of it. I learned so much at the conference and I'm excited to take it back and implement a lot of great ideas.
While I was there I did get to visit a bit of the city. I visited the Forum Shops in Caesar's Palace. I got these
super cute sandals in black at Kate Spade and the gal I talked to encouraged me to check out the Outlet Mall. So the next day after my workshops, I boarded a Las Vegas bus and headed north to the Premium Outlets. I ended up going to Tory Burch and got a Reva Clutch for a fantastic deal.
There were lots of fun street performers. This had to be my favorite one. I saw him a couple of times. There were lots of Jack Sparrows and Vegas Show Dancers, but man, he had to be hot in all of that. The temperature was over 100 every day!
My conference was at Paris, but since I was added late, I had to stay a few hotels down. I definitely learned that a block in Vegas mileage is not a block anywhere else. I left my pedometer at home, but I wish I hadn't.
I ended up staying at the Flamingo. It's definitely one of the older hotels on the strip, but I liked the older feel to it. Not a lot of amenities compared to other hotels, but it worked.
As I was leaving yesterday on the shuttle, we drove be Aria and they had this awesome sculpture of canoes. How cute is that?
So that was my trip. More photos to come tomorrow about my trip to Serendipity 3!
